The tour begins with airport pick-up at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). A light supper is provided on the first day. Three days are spent in and around the National Mall (four days if the Pennsylvania option is not chosen). Motor coach transportation is provided between the hotel and the National Mall each day. Guests are free to choose their options on these days.
The tour DOES NOT include transportation to Washington DC. You are responsible to provide air travel or other transportation. We can assist you with this detail if you like.
We provide a motor coach docent guided tour of the DC monuments on Monday evening. Stops include a White House exterior photo op, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Monument, Martin Luther King Memorial, Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima), Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Korea War Memorial, and the WW II Memorial.
We also provide transportation to Mt. Vernon and Arlington National Cemetery with an opportunity to watch the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
In addition to transportation to the National Mall, we can also provide transportation to the General Conference Headquarters and the EG White Estate. We will assist with scheduling your tour with advance notice.
Two meals are included each day. Hotel-provided breakfasts are available each morning. Suppers are catered and include a different meal each evening. Guests provide their own lunch each day. Provision is made for Sabbath lunch and supper as well.
Transportation is provided to and from the National Mall on three days. Time at the mall is completely flexible. We can help you coordinate a tour of the Capital and the White House when available. You may choose to visit various museums of the Smithsonian or one of several independently operated museums.
We can assist with tickets to the Holocaust Museum and Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Other options may include Ford's Theatre and the Peterson House, National Archives Supreme Court, and Library of Congress.
A tour guide remains available throughout each day at the National Mall area to help facilitate your experience.
